Introduction of Project WICKET

Authentication is the backbone of every app, but today, most of easy plug-n-play solutions are closed, paid, and controlled by third-party companies. This creates security risks, vendor lock-in, and heavy costs for developers and businesses.

I’m building WICKET to change that. It’s a free, open-source authentication system you can host yourself. It is scalable, secure, and built for everyone from indie developers to large teams.

With WICKET, you don’t need to depend on outside services. It supports all modern login methods from passkeys, TOTP apps, email and text OTPs, and classic username/password, plus Google, GitHub, and Microsoft logins.

My vision is simple: make authentication easy, private, and accessible without hidden costs or closed code. WICKET is inspired by tools like Clerk and Auth0, but built with the spirit of open source, so that anyone can trust, verify, and improve it.
